Who We Help

Babies

Andy met a milestone in Occupational Therapy! He has goals of tolerating water play for 5 minutes and bathing independently. Andy met the water play goal by engaging with bath toys for 15 minutes today with no aversions! Andy has even been bathing independently. His family says he has made much progress in the past year with TheraTree. Way to go, Andy!

Children With Autism

Milestone Moment

We are so proud of Kendall!!
"I am able to use a pincer grasp to use things to pick up the small pieces without dropping it.
I love to play this food game.
I am also able to cross my mid line without always turning my body to find the pieces."

Meet: Faith Adamson, OTR/L

I graduated from EKU in 2021 and I have obtained a certificate in Autism Spectrum Disorders.  Here at Theratree, we serve a large population of children with Autism Spectrum Disorders.
With this certification, I aim to serve the children at Theratree using principles of EBP related to  ASD and the common signs and behaviors that are presented by individuals on the spectrum. I
want to strive to foster development in young children in this community by increasing social  skills and interactions, eliminating repetitive behaviors, and integrating sensory systems that
meet the needs of the child to increase their understanding of how their body moves and interacts with the world around them. Furthermore, with this Autism Spectrum Disorder
certification, I hope to work with families and children in the Henderson area to provide specific interventions to address these common skills to further each child’s unique growth and
development.
